It goes without saying that we all 'grew' from this mornings New Business Development (NBD) workshop by Rebecca Caroe, and have the tools to get going!
As promised I'm now officially starting this dedicated NBD thread (which at this time of night is sounding more like a blog- apologies!) Hope it becomes a platform for sharing our progress.

I agree, a really great event. Like you I'm working at a time when most normal human beings are doing something other than work. But I think most people in our industry don't feel like work is work! It's our life. I always try to do something within 48 hours of a Designer Breakfast otherwise I get side-tracked by the urgency of everything else in my life. So on friday morning I briefed everyone in our office with the key points from the breakfast. And everyone contributed and said useful stuff... I think making new biz the responsibility of everyone in the office was the key message for me from the event. We now have - A 'living' wish list of clients and businesses we'd like to work for - A monthly meeting to review work for PR/website/etc publication - Identifying our elevator pitch - Investigating Google alerts - Collecting job ads from the weekend Guardian I'll keep you posted how we get on...
