I've got a lot of books in my office and, as the son of librarians and archivists and booksellers, I have inherited a fairly pathologial alphabetical approach to their filing. Where I work we have a 'library' and I am not sure if the books have been arranged in any particular way. If so I am not aware of it. I think it is only my boss who knows all of the books we have there, it is also a bit untidy. We, the designers, do know quite a lot of what is there but not all.

At home we just arrange the design books together, haven't gotten as far as to put them into subjects or authors. Don't know if we will ever get that far. I already know what we've got, and as long as all the books are together I can easily find what I am looking for.

I am a big fan of organised chaos by the way...!

I suggest you spend 10minutes every day looking at the books, and then you'll know what's there and perhaps suggest a way to organise them so that anyone who doesn't know can find a book by category... eg typography, history, art, ideas,

I like totally unorganised chaos when it comes to my books, and get quite resentful if anyone suggests organising them...I admit that being a book addict though, I'm getting to the point of random piles spilling onto the floor in all directions...the price to pay for obsession? Alternatively I could buy another bookcase and continue the chaos elsewhere...I also like the suprise of unearthing something you had forgotten you owned, an occasion which usually will find me sat on the floor for the next few hours re-aquainting myself happily. What does this say about my personality? In other areas of my life I can be very organised... (-:

Dear Datuk Seri I guess a congratulation is in order. A 642-426 small one until the people responsible for this scandalous thing are punished. It is a tribute to you to take the cover off this thing. I think this sent a message of what People First, Performance Now means. Action 352-001 is better than words. And I think it will sent message that you mean business. This will be good for you and for MCA. As a member of the public, I am interested to find out who planned the scam and who were involved. There will not be any closure until these people are punished and punished severely. This must be done quickly else the anger will mount. As it is we see one law for the rich and powerful and another law for the 642-456 ordinary people. I hope you can emphasize to MACC not to drag its feet. Otherwise the stigma of cows and cars will bear home. The government have a lot of thing to do correctly to gain back credibility and trust. I hope you will not let this be one of the thing that got lost along the way. It 646-985 should not be an item in the next election.
